The academic year is divided into summer term and winter term:

Winter term 2010-2011:

Duration: September 1st, 2010 - February 28th, 2011
Lecture period: October 5th, 2010 - February 5th, 2011


Summer term 2011:

Duration: March 1st, 2011 - August 31st, 2011
Lecture period: April 11th, 2011 - July 23rd, 2011

 Winter term 2011-2012:

Duration: September 1st, 2011 - February 28th, 2012
Lecture Period: October 10th, 2011 - February 4th, 2012


Summer term 2012:

Duration: March 1st, 2012 - August 31st, 2012
Lecture period:  April 16th, 2012 - July 28th, 2012

Winter term 2012-2013:

Duration: September 1st, 2012 - February 28th, 2013
Lecture period: October 15th, 2012 - February 9th, 2013


Summer term 2013:

Duration: March 1st, 2013 - August 31st, 2031
Lecture period:  April 15th, 2013 - July 27th, 2013

Students usually use the time in between lecture periods to complete their written assignments.
